Carla Barr Warren

IMG_1817.jpeg

When Carla was growing up in a tiny Indiana town, her favorite days of the week were Tuesday and Saturday—the only days the local library was open. She borrowed all the books she could carry home and cultivated a deep love for the written and spoken word.

Carla attended Indiana State University and Asbury Theological Seminary. There she was introduced to critical thinking skills and became passionate about teaching and modeling them in the classroom and from the pulpit as a pastor. Her goal in writing is to model good reasoning skills for children in a world where it’s hard to know what is true.

Carla and her husband, Pete, live in a cozy house in the woods where they raise goats, enjoy their rescue cats, Maggie and Leo, and spend time with their children and grandchildren.

Rooster and the Nightmouse is Carla’s first book.
