Rooster and The Night Mouse - Cover Design _V2_O1.jpg

Should we believe every story we hear?

Rooster had been taught that mice are greedy,
sneaking in to the hen house to steal all the food from the chicks.
The nightmouse had been taught that roosters are cruel and dangerous.

A chance meeting causes them to question what they have been taught
and to think carefully about what they saw.

Will taking a risk to begin a friendship have a happy ending or will it put them both in danger?

This story models critical thinking skills for children. They will learn that by observing, asking questions, thinking carefully, acting kindly, and starting a conversation, how old assumptions can be overcome. Generations of fear and division can be reversed when those who appear to be very different do more than “look” at each other and begin to SEE.
